A nice day indeed! Started off with my CIP at about 7+am in the morn. It's all worth it to be awake so early! Playing with kids really made me feel like a kid myself. I love Fostering parenting programme, the friends are so warm hearted, the kids are so lovable, the staff so caring, I really starting to love FP, hope i can cont with this scheme forever.!

Celebrated dad's bdae like everyother year, but what's unique is that pretty's is in the photos =)

Started on a new CIP project regarding raising the public awareness of dementia patient. Hence, the organiser planned an inversion programme for us, first hand experience with these patients. Well, my grandmother is also diagnosed with Alhzemier, so no surprise when i interacted with those patients. Only thing that hinders was the language barrier. I can't speak Hokkien, Cantonese, Teochew, hananese, Malay..Oopx what can i do? i Guessed that they just needed someone to talk to =PpP
Dementia is split into 3 stages : early , Moderate, Advanced
I visited those at the moderate stage.
Basically, communication is not a major problem, just that they may repeat stuff they have said.
Daily Routine functions was neither a problem, only a few need to be fed and bathed.
Some had hallucinations, saying there were ppl here and there. Don't worry! it's not spooky =)
Following the interaction, We went to Changi General Hosp which is at Simei.haha..
Doctor Adeline gave us a briefing on symptoms of dementia. Those which cannot be reversible are vascular (stroke) and Alhzemier dementia! and yupx, dementia is the disease, alhzemier is the cause. Some patients may not want to eat, while some forgot they have eaten and would scold you if u did not give them food. Ms Adeline also mention you've to be creative and tactful when handling with these patients. Do not argue with them or treat them like kids. Of course there are exceptional.
That's about it and the day came to and end with a few hw.
So what's your perspective of dementia? Feel free to share =)

Death of PW
It didn't realli went well as i stumbled quite a few times but QnA was all right i guess. My group members all did well i think =)
All the sufferings with PW will disappear with time. Cheerx for the end of PW as he had been suffering too when he was alive, the way we treat him, he might be better dead.
Warning to J1s, he'll be back. Handle him with care..=X

Anyway for PW, we did on Modern Teenage Arts. Mainly break-dancing, jamming, and graffiti art. Purpose to create more avenues for youths to pick up such arts forms thus increasing momentum. I felt the need to mention this because i'll be deleting any remains of PW remaining in my computer. This will probably be my last memory of him. Farewell my dear PW.
